W Hotels Worldwide Open Recording Studio at W Bali

W Hotels Worldwide has opened the doors to the first of its planned private music studio and writer’s rooms for musicians on the go.

The inaugural W Sound Suite at W Bali – Seminyak is pitched as a place for professional recording artists, studio musicians and producers (and of course, hotel guests) to “record in style while on the road.”

The main mixing room is said to include professional gear from Native Instruments, Pioneer and Moog, and its private vocal booth overlooks a tropical garden.

It’s the first of many planned ventures to open in music hotspots and chill-zones. The hotels group will unveil W Sound Suites in Hollywood, Barcelona and Seattle later this year, with more to follow.

“W has a long history of musicians staying, playing, and celebrating at our hotels,” comments Anthony Ingham, Global Brand Leader, W Hotels Worldwide. “We know that inspiration can strike at any moment, so the W Sound Suite is today’s tech-savvy version of scribbling lyrics on a cocktail napkin.”

The initiative is a partnership between W Hotels Worldwide (part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide) and Coca-Cola, and was shaped by W brand’s North American music director DJ White Shadow, the Chicago-based producer who has worked with Lady Gaga.
