Mariah Carey is taking fans beyond the glitz and tabloid rumors and into her private life for the upcoming documentary series Mariah's World. Now, fans can get a peek at the official trailer, released at the NBC Upfronts on Monday (May 16). 

Mariah Carey Documentary Series Coming to E!

The E! Entertainment series will feature eight one-hour episodes that follow Carey as she prepares for her Sweet Fantasy tour, which sweeps across multiple continents, while planning her wedding to James Packer. 

"Forget the image, forget the rumors. I owe this to the fans," Carey can be heard announcing toward the beginning of the video.

The minute and a half trailer features behind-the-scenes footage from tour rehearsals, intimate conversations, red carpet appearances and a classic Carey moment where she explains her rule of wearing sunglasses whenever she's in florescent light -- adding, "I know it's very '90s." 

The trailer is backed by her 1991 classic hit "Emotions" and 2009's "Obsessed." Check it out below.
