Britney Spears to Perform Hits Medley at Billboard Music Awards

Britney Spears attends the iHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. 

Britney Spears will be honored with the prestigious Millennium Award at this year's Billboard Music Awards. Spears is also slated to perform a medley of her chart-toppers during the awards show. Past recipients of the Millennium Award include fellow chart toppers and record breakers Beyoncé (2011) and Whitney Houston (2012).

The Billboard Millennium Award honors artists with exceptional achievements and influence in the music industry. Spears began her career with her hit "...Baby One More Time," which eventually went 14 times platinum in the U.S. alone and blazed a path for 23 future Top 40 singles. In the U.S. alone, she's reportedly sold over 70 million albums, singles and songs, cementing her legacy as a pop icon.

Spears joins previously announced performers Justin Bieber, DNCE, The Go-Go’s, Shawn Mendes, P!nk, Nick Jonas, Tove Lo and Demi Lovato.

The Billboard Music Awards will air live from Las Vegas on Sunday, May 22 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
