D'Angelo on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon

Late-night shows continued to honor Prince on Tuesday.

Jimmy Fallon introduced his musical tribute at the end of Tuesday's Tonight Show in honor of the late musician, who died last Thursday at the age of 57. In a special performance of "Sometimes It Snows in April," Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum, who form a Prince cover band called Princess, joined D’Angelo, who sang and played piano.

Fallon's bandleader Questlove also honored the late performer with a custom purple bow tie with Prince's name in gold that he wore during the episode.

Fallon's performance comes a day after the late-night host shared a personal story about playing ping-pong with the artist. Saturday Night Live also aired a special tribute to Prince, called "Goodnight, Sweet Prince," featuring several of his performances over the years.
