Pandora founder and CEO Tim Westergren will share the stage with Glassnote Entertainment Group founder and president Daniel Glass for a special hot-topic keynote interview at the 50th MIDEM trade fair in Cannes this June.

Westergren and Glass will be joined with Glassnote Records-signed British singer and songwriter Flo Morrissey for what a debate organizers say will drill into how streaming businesses, labels and artists can work together on profitable models leading to a “win-win-win” scenario.

The triumvirate will also tackle such key issues as the fair distribution of revenue to content rights holders, and direct licensing with publishers and labels.

“The music industry is undergoing a massive transformation, but there’s never been a more exciting time to be an artist. Pandora intends to change the whole notion of what it means to be a working musician, and I’m eager to share what we’re working on with some of the smartest minds in the business at MIDEM,” comments Westergren in a statement.

“Streaming services have fundamentally changed the way people consume music in the last few years,” adds Glass. “MIDEM continues to be the premiere forum to examine the evolution of the music business and I look forward to discussing the role of streaming now and in our future.”

MIDEM, like the industry it routinely assembles, has undergone its own evolution. The confab takes place from June 3-6, having shifted from its traditional late January timeslot last year.

Glass will moderate the debate, which is scheduled for 5pm on Saturday, June 4 as part of the MIDEM Keynote Series.

To celebrate its half-century, MIDEM is boasting a contingent of traditional power players along with the new generation of execs from labels, publishers and tech companies, and keynotes from the likes of Neil Warnock, Head of Music Worldwide, UTA; Mary Ramos, music supervisor for more than 100 films including many of Quentin Tarantino’s films; and Alibaba Music Group’s Chairman, Gao Xiaosong.

Confirmed delegates this year include Daniel Miller (Mute Records), to Olivier Robert-Murphy (Universal Music Group), Lihui Shen (Modern Sky), Martin Goldschmidt (Cooking Vinyl), Mark Piibe (Sony Music Entertainment), Jason Flom (Lava Records) and Patrik Larsson (Playground Scandinavia).
