Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVine, Brittany Snow, Kelley Jakle and Chrissie Fit attend the 2016 MTV Movie Awards at Warner Bros. Studios on April 9, 2016 in Burbank, Calif.

The MTV Movie Awards aired Sunday night (in a break from recent history, they were taped a day prior), with co-hosts Kevin Hart and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

Below, six best moments from the telecast.

2016 MTV Movie Awards: Full Winners List

Ariana Grande Is a Dangerous Woman
Grande's performance of "Dangerous Woman" was a throwback in multiple ways: First of all, she was decked out in diamonds and a pink gown a la a movie star from the twenties. The best throwback, though, was the fact that Grande was joined on piano by composer Jason Robert Brown, a Broadway phenom who gave her her big break way back when with Thirteen. More performances like this, please.

Halsey Performs "Castle"
Halsey took to the outdoor stage in a one-piece unitard to sing "Castle," which will next be heard as part of The Huntsman: Winter's War. The moody tune got a whole new life onstage with the captivating singer, with lights and sparklers making the woman at the center of it all seem like a glowing, bewitching, haunting gem.

Lonely Island Honor Will Smith With A Medley
Prior to Will Smith getting the Lifetime Achievement honor, the Lonely Island dudes took the stage to give tribute to Smith's musical career -- from "Fresh Prince" to "Summertime" to "Gettin' Jiggy Wit' It." It was a fun throwback (the guys were wearing some perfect early-'90s overalls), and the men -- as well as Smith in the audience -- looked like they were having a total blast.

"Leo Got F--ked By a Bear"
So what if it didn't actually happen? Johnson and Hart's rap about the "movies you've actually seen" got off to a slow start, but by the time they got to the infamous Revenant/ "Leo got f--ked by a bear" part (complete with random celebrities in the audience getting in on the fun), it managed a smile from nearly everyone.

Adam Devine & Rebel Wilson Show Why They Should Be the Focus of the Next Pitch Perfect Movie
The two won the award for Best Kiss, and while the duo didn't quite hit Rachel McAdams/Ryan Gosling steam levels, they had some fun (and managed to roll around on the gross stage for a bit). Well played, you guys.
