Stephen Colbert Introduces America to Babymetal's Inimitable Live Act

Babymetal made their U.S. television debut last night (April 5) on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The Japanese "metal dance" trio performed their genre-bending track "Gimme Chocolate!!" off their latest and second full-length album Metal Resistance.

"I'm not sure what I'm about to see but I'm pretty excited about it," Colbert perfectly put it in his introduction to their performance. Members Su-Metal, Yuimetal and Moametal danced and sang in their signature adorable pop style to a band of thrashing metal rockers with white powdered faces.

Babymetal just kicked off their third world tour this past weekend. They first gained attraction in the states in 2014 when they opened a few shows for Lady Gaga on her Artpop tour.
