Another insider tells Billboard there is no formal management agreement but that "Scooter is a friend and confidant and is consulting with Kanye." West continues to be represented by United Talent Agency (UTA) in all areas.
The news comes as West's latest album, The Life of Pablo, inches closer to completion following a partial roll-out in February. The album has been available as an exclusive stream on Tidal since its Feb. 14 stop-start release amid West's claims that the album would never be available elsewhere. That changed recently as he has made two songs, "Famous" and "I Love Kanye," available on both Apple Music and Spotify this week, with sources indicating to Billboard that the album will be available in its entirety on those services beginning tomorrow.
This week, Tidal finally released the number of streams that West's Pablo received after initially withholding numbers from Nielsen Soundscan. According to its own metrics, Pablo was streamed 250 million times in its first 10 days of availability.
