Young Thug performs in concert at The Tabernacle on Oct. 25, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Could the "Rocket Man" remix we never knew we needed be in the works?

On Wednesday (March 23), Young Thug posted a picture of himself with Elton John at John's home in Atlanta. In the photos, John can be seen wearing a "Thugger" hat and holding up a Young Thug sweatshirt. A source from Thug's 300 label tells Billboard, "They're both fans of each other! That was the nature of the meeting."

Although the potential collaboration may seem to be coming out of thin air, Elton has expressed his admiration for Young Thug's music in the past. When Noisey asked John about Young Thug, the singer exclaimed, "I love that record! I actually asked [Universal Music CEO] David Joseph about it. I heard a track on Beats 1 and I loved it so much."

Which record in particular John was referring to is a mystery, but John has officially crossed over from a Young Thug fan to a colleague. Young Thug's manager Amina Diop told The Fader that Thug visited John to preview a song called "Rocket Man" (presumably not the 1972 original).
