The new disc was produced by Gil Norton (the Pixies, Foo Fighters) and includes such songs as "Carry This Picture for Luck," and "Hands Down," the latter of the which was previously released in live form on the group's 2002 "MTV Unplugged" set.
Beforehand, Vagrant will on April 22 reissue Dashboard's 2000 debut, "Swiss Army Romance." That set was originally released on Drive-Thru Records and has been out of print since last year. The re-release will contain a pair of extra tracks, "Hold On" and "This Is a Forgery," recorded last year.
In other Dashboard news, vocalist Chris Carrabba will play 10 solo dates this May in the New York area and Southern California. Carrabba will launch a five-date Gotham visit on May 14 at SOB's, and hit the Bowery Ballroom, Village Underground, Maxwell's (in Hoboken, N.J.), and the Knitting Factory through the rest of the week. Carrabba will arrive in Los Angeles with a May 22 performance at the Roxy, followed by two dates at the Troubadour and a May 25 show at the Glass House in Pomona, Calif. All shows have sold out.
"The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most" hit No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers tally and has sold 399,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
