MTV will tape the performance for broadcast at a later date; the network previously broadcast a Radiohead live show from the group's 1998 tour in support of the album "OK Computer."
The band is making a pair of front row tickets for the Beacon show available for auction via eBay, with proceeds benefiting the TJ Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer, and AIDS Research. Bidding, which began at $300, was up to $2,275 at deadline. The auction ends April 25.
Beyond the Beacon show and Field Day, Radiohead's further North American tour plans have yet to be revealed. The group will embark on a sold-out tour of mid-sized venues in the U.K. and Ireland this May and June, to be followed by European dates in July. A U.K. tour is also in the works for the end of the year.
Radiohead's sixth album, "Hail to the Thief," is due June 9 via Parlophone in the U.K. and the following day via Capitol in North America. The single "There There" has already begun to get early airplay on such U.S. radio outlets as WFNX Boston, CIMX Detroit, and KROQ Los Angeles.
