Blur 'Think' Up North American Tour

U.K. rock outfit Blur, whose seventh Virgin album, "Think Tank," debuted this week at No. 56 on The Billboard 200, is gearing up for a North American tour in support of the set. The group will play some theater dates in the Western U.S. and Canada as well as taking part in some larger festivals.

First up are three radio-station festivals: Washington, D.C.'s HFStival 2003 on May 24; Mansfield, Mass.'s WBCN River Rave on May 25, and Camden, N.J.'s Y100 FEZtival 2003 on May 26. There is a two-week break in scheduled dates before the group plays Calverton, N.Y.'s Field Day Festival on June 8.

The tour heads west from there for theater dates in Tempe, Ariz.; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; San Diego; San Francisco; Portland, Ore.; Seattle; and Vancouver. More shows are expected to be announced.

In related news, the band is streaming a recent show taped at London's Astoria from the members' section of its official Web site. The concert, shot by three cameras, is available to users who register for free.
