Because the group will be staging a concert in its Austin, Texas, hometown, it will appear on the show via satellite performing the song "Truth No. 2" from their latest album, "Home" (Monument/Columbia).
They join previously announced performers Alabama, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Terri Clark, Diamond Rio, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Lonestar, Martina McBride, Montgomery Gentry, Willie Nelson, Rascal Flatts, LeAnn Rimes, George Strait, Shania Twain, Keith Urban, Darryl Worley and Wynonna.
Further raising the event's star quotient, Trace Adkins, Lance Burton, Bill Engvall, Cledus T. Judd, Louise Mandrell, Nancy O'Dell, "Star Search" winner Jake Simpson, Pam Tillis, and Mark Wills have joined the list of presenters. Reba McEntire will host the ceremony, which will air live on CBS beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
As previously reported, Keith leads the field with eight nominations, followed by Jackson, who received six. Strait will be honored with the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award, and retiring veteran act Alabama will receive the ACM's Pioneer Award.
Additionally, Brooks & Dunn, Lonestar, and Wynonna are vying for the second fan-voted Home Depot Humanitarian Award. The official poll on the Home Depot Web site is slated to stay open into the second hour of the CBS telecast; the winner will be announced during the final hour of the ceremony.
