Five years ago, comparing yourself to Donald Trump was an easy way to say "I am or want to be rich." Trump was just a rich businessman who yelled at b-list celebrities on NBC and plastered his name on everything he owned. So when Mac Miller rapped "Take over the world when I'm on my Donald Trump shit" on his 2011 single "Donald Trump," you knew what he meant.
Fast-forward to 2016, however, and mentioning Trump isn't such an innocuous thing. Depending on who you ask, he's either the man who's going to "make America great again" or a rambling racist who may or may not believe all the things he's saying to his supporters.
