Jack White on The Muppets

Jack White can tick another item off his “bucket list.” The rocker teamed up with Gonzo, Beaker, Fozzie Bear and the gang for a cover of Stevie Wonder's "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" on the season finale of ABC’s The Muppets.

White and Kermit the Frog also performed a “carpool karaoke” style version of the White Stripes’ 2001 track "Fell In Love With A Girl" (White also helped out with some advice for the love-struck amphibian).

Playing the matchmaker, White introduced "Sunshine" with a nod to Kermit and Miss Piggy: "I was going to play something new tonight but an old friend asked me if I would play something with a little more history." Watch it here

White’s Third Man Records has released the “Sunshine” recording in vinyl 7” and digital formats. The a-side features White's cover with the Muppets house band, the Electric Mayhem, while the flip side carries the TV version with Electric Mayhem and the rest of their furry friends.

The digital release is available via Tidal and iTunes, the physical version can be preordered at Third Man Records

White's season-ending appearance follows Dave Grohl's stint on the Muppets in late 2015 when the Foo Fighter performed "Learn to Fly" and challenged Animal to a drum solo.
