Veteran R&B vocalist Gerald Levert will issue his next studio album, "A Stroke of Genius," Oct. 28 via Elektra. The set is preceded by the single "U Got That Love (Call It a Night)," which peaked at No. 9 on Billboard's Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles tally and is No. 66 this week on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.

"Genius" was produced by Levert with longtime collaborator Edwin "Tony" Nicholas and Jasper Cameron (TLC, Christina Aguilera). Levert is expected to tour sometime this fall; the only date on his itinerary at present is an Oct. 11 appearance at the Bermuda Jazz Festival.

The artist is still riding high from the success of "LSG2," his latest Elektra album with Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill. The album debuted at a career-best No. 6 on The Billboard 200 last month and has sold 158,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"Genius" is the follow-up to last year's "The G Spot," which debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and has sold 342,000 copies.
