Steve Martin Goes into Meltdown Mode for 'I Don't Want to Do This Show': Watch
Steve Martin can play a neurotic entertainer having hideous pre-showtime nerves as well as anyone.
The veteran funnyman and Grammy-winning banjo player had a slot on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show overnight to talk about his Broadway musical co-creation with Edie Brickell, Bright Star. He turned it on as he walked viewers through a musical interpretation of a greenroom meltdown.
“I used up all my stories, when I was in my 40s/ but now I’m 52 years old and I don’t want to do this show,” he sang to himself as his talkshow stint beckoned. He sang and stalled and took a slap to the face before getting the job done. Watch it below.
