Duran Duran is making good on plans to launch a 25th anniversary tour, its first with all five original members in almost 20 years. The trek, which will hit clubs and theaters, will begin Nov. 7 in Atlantic City, N.J., and wrap Nov. 30 in San Diego. A tour of amphitheaters is in the works for next summer, in conjunction with the lineup's first new studio album since 1983's "Seven and the Ragged Tiger."
Discover Card holders will have special presale opportunities for 10 of the 16 shows, as will members of Duran Duran's fan club. More information can be found on the group's official Web site. As previously reported, after the North American dates, Duran Duran will open shows for Robbie Williams in Auckland (Dec. 6), Melbourne (Dec. 10) and Sydney (Dec. 13-14).
On Nov. 4, Capitol will release the two-disc DVD anthology "Greatest," featuring clips from throughout Duran Duran's decade-plus association with the label.
