David Bowie's 'Blackstar' Instagram Video Series Starts This Week

InstaMiniSeries, a new channel featuring original episodic programming packaged as Instagram videos, has announced that they will premiere a new series devoted entirely to David Bowie's last album Blackstar on Feb. 25 at 8PM E.T., with subsequent episodes to follow every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday thereafter, for a total of 16 episodes. The series is titled UNBOUND: A? InstaMiniSeries and will feature visual interpretations of Bowie's songs by actors including Tavi Gevinson and Patricia Clarkson.

The platform issued a press release Monday (Feb. 22) to tout the "unique pre-release access" that Bowie granted them last fall for "unmediated access to the music and images" from what would soon prove to be his last album before his passing in January. Blackstar, which was released two days before Bowie's death, became his first No. 1 album ever on the Billboard 200 chart. UNBOUND was completed in December.
