Kanye West on 'Saturday Night Live': What We're Hoping to See

Kanye West's Yeezy 3 presentation and album release event at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 11, 2016 in New York City.

Kanye West is the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend, which -- given his actions over the past week -- should make for an... interesting show.

Joined by returning host Melissa McCarthy, it'll be interesting to see what the program decides to do with Mr. West. He's not known for his sense of humor, which means that in addition to his two performances, it seems unlikely he'll, you know, swing by the Weekend Update desk. But Kanye thrives off the unexpected and subverting expectations, so perhaps he and Taylor Swift will join forces for a new tune or something. (Note: This won't be happening.)

Here's what we're hoping to see:

1. The closest Kanye has come to making fun of himself on the program is in the wake of his comments about George W. Bush in 2005. In the cold open, he walked past a jokingly terrified Mike Myers (his telecast partner). They could do the same thing with just about anyone from Swift's squad.

2. Will Kanye allow them to make any jokes about his super-buzzy Madison Square Garden fashion show/album listening session? We've got to get Jay Pharoah's Kanye impression in there somewhere.

3. Will the SNL crew perhaps bring back Waking Up With Kimye

4. Here's Kanye's showstopping "Black Skinhead" performance from an earlier appearance on the show. What from T.L.O.P. will he perform this time around? And will he bring any special guests?

5. Here's this week's promo. Show off your rap skills for Kanye, McCarthy!
