IMS Conference Launches In China, Alongside STORM Dance Festival feat. Skrillex, Flo Rida

The Shanghai event is partnered with Budweiser Storm Festival and follows last year’s IMS China, billed as the first electronic music conference to take place in the country. The summit first tested the waters of the Asian dance music business in 2014 with a Singapore leg.

Last year’s Oct. 2-4 confab hosted 27 panelists, more than 180 delegates, with 17 countries represented, taking part in four panels and four keynote presentations, offering ideas on how to penetrate the notoriously difficult Chinese market. Its festival element drew roughly 17,000 daily attendees and was headlined by Flo Rida, Skrillex, Tiesto, Above & Beyond, Blasterjaxx and Paul Oakenfold.
