Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' politically charged "White Privilege II" has been a hot talking point since it dropped last month.

The Seattle MC and a host of collaborators -- including singer Jamila Woods and poets Nikkita Oliver and Danez Smith – set-off a powerful rendition of the song on The Late Show overnight, dressed all in black in an appropriately sombre setting. For the six-plus minutes of the song’s duration, the talking stopped.

5 Celebrity Reactions to Macklemore's 'White Privilege II'

As its title suggests, “Privilege” addresses the social issues surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement and cultural appropriation. It's expected to be on the duo’s second studio album, This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, due out Feb. 26, and comes after the original “White Privilege” from the rapper’s 2005 album, The Language of My World.

The talking will no doubt start all over again.  Check out the performance below.
