As the reporters in the room laughed nervously, the moment was instantly captured by viewers who were watching the live broadcast of the press conference from home.
Before his slip of the tongue (which he'll surely be reminded to watch more carefully during Sunday's performance), Martin talked about their decision to invite Beyonce to perform with them after the NFL asked Coldplay to honor the past, present and future with their performance.

"The way we're sort of honoring the past is by asking some of the people whose halftime shows we've really loved, and Beyonce's of course is right up there, I think most people would agree. And so we just felt like asking her would be appropriate."
The group also unanimously agreed that their favorite Beyonce song is "Single Ladies." When asked by a reporter if they would please do the famous dance to that song, drummer Will Champion responded that it would "cost too much."
