Seal follows in the footsteps of the iconic David Bowie, who played Pontius Pilate in Martin Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Scorsese said he originally pictured Sting in the role.

“I was a little taken aback when I met Bowie: he was such a quiet and concentrated and thoughtful man, and he was truly humble,” Scorsese told EW. “We had the chance to work together on The Last Temptation of Christ, and for me, it was sheer joy.”
