UMG, eBay Link For Online Store

Signed guitars and handwritten lyrics by Bon Jovi, front-row tickets to Jay-Z's upcoming Madison Square Garden show and a personal drum lesson with Nickelback drummer Ryan Vikedal are among the items

Signed guitars and handwritten lyrics by Bon Jovi, front-row tickets to Jay-Z's upcoming Madison Square Garden show and a personal drum lesson with Nickelback drummer Ryan Vikedal are among the items going on sale this week via the "Universal Music Store." The new online marketplace was forged by a deal between Universal Music Group and online auctioneer eBay.

The store, which launches today (Oct. 14), will offer music, memorabilia, tickets and special offers involving Universal acts. It will also host weekly and monthly auction promotions.

Hard-to-find music items available via the store will include catalog vinyl records, autographed box sets, 12-inch singles and rare import releases. These will be available for eBay users to purchase at a fixed price, but may also be bid on, auction-style.

"Through our collaboration, Universal can now tap into eBay's loyal user base and connect more fans to the music they love," said Universal Music Enterprises president Bruce Resnikoff in a statement. "This new relationship enables us to provide passionate music fans with a one-stop shopping experience where they can purchase the music and memorabilia of some of their favorite artists."
