This spring will see a new album from singer-songwriter and guitarist M. Ward. Previously having worked with Zooey Deschanel as She & Him, and working with the folk supergroup Monsters of Folk, More Rain will be the artist’s eighth solo album. And Billboard has the exclusive premiere of the “Confession” music video off his forthcoming release, shown below.

Neko Case Teams With M. Ward on 'Man' Single, Announces New Album

"This song is called ‘Confession' -- it's a dream about confessing everything to a guru or a master or a saint or a sensei or rabbi or great spirit or holy ghost or mystic in some kind of an exchange where you drop something off your shoulders and gain a kind of freedom in return,” Ward shares with Billboard. “It's a fantasy song -- or a ‘ wouldn't it be nice' kind of song.”

Production for the clip was a friendly affair -- “Confession” is directed by musician Carlos Forster, whose last album Family Trees Ward produced. "My good friend Carlos Forster is no saint but the beautiful video he made for this song takes a three-minute picture of the universe in a way that makes me feel good to live here," says Ward.
