Country legend Hank Williams, Jr. and 2015 CMA-sweeper Chris Stapleton are joining forces to bring the southern rock sounds to America this summer. The two will embark on a summer tour produced by Live Nation. Tampa, Florida’s MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Ampitheatre will be their first stop on Aug. 5.
Stapleton recently received four Grammy nom nods, including Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Song, Best Country Album, and Album of the Year for his breakout LP Traveller, which soared to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after his CMAs performance. Paired with a country staple like Williams, who nabbed a Grammy in 1990 for “There’s a Tear in My Beer,” the limited tour is sure to attract both seasoned and budding country rock enthusiasts. Fans can purchase tickets beginning Jan. 29. The tour will stop in eight cities across the country, including Houston, Austin, West Palm Beach, Detroit, Cleveland, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati.
