Kris Allen is set to release his fourth album, Letting You In, on March 18, the singer announced today (Jan. 14).

Recorded in Nashville, the American Idol season eight winner worked with a multitude of producers -- including Konrad Snyder (Mat Kearney, Owl City), Ian Fitchuk (James Bay) and Grammy winner Brown Bannister (Amy Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman) -- on songs that are described as his "most personal work to date."

The Jacksonville, Arkansas, native worked on over 70 songs for the record, which is more than three times the amount he composed for his previous two efforts combined.
