Angie Bowie Reacts to Ex-Husband David's Death: 'The Stardust Is Gone'

David Bowie’s first wife, Angie Bowie, who was married to him for 10 years during his '70s heyday, heard the news of her ex-husband’s death while sequestered from the world during a taping of Celebrity Big Brother. While the producers informed her of his passing off camera, she allowed the show to capture her grief on camera, giving her a chance to bid Bowie a public farewell [h/t Us Weekly].

“I haven’t seen him in so many years -- I can’t make a big drama out of it,” Angie Bowie told the camera. “I just feel like an era has ended with his passing. I’m so very sad.” 

“The stardust is gone,” she added.
