A month after winning season nine of The Voice, Jordan Smith took the People’s Choice Awards stage for a stirring rendition of "You Are So Beautiful," the legendary ballad made famous by Joe Cocker

Jane Lynch introduced the performance, proclaiming The Voice had won the award for Favorite Competition Show for the third straight year. Next, Smith took the stage alongside the famed producer and 16-time Grammy winner David Foster, who accompanied him on piano. The two paired for a poignant take on the classic, with Smith's tender vocals mesmerizing the crowd. Really, he sounded great!

The 22-year old Kentucky native's life has been quite eventful since winning The Voice last month. He made history by becoming the first artist to own the top two spots on the Hot Christian Songs chart concurrently, pulling off the feat with "Mary, Did You Know" and "Hallelujah" on the tally dated Jan. 2. And on Jan. 1, Smith posted a selfie with his new fiancée Kristen Denny, announcing their engagement.
