Rubin, who is working on upcoming projects by Weezer and Slipknot, will produce the Swedish outfit's third studio album.
"I think they're a great live band -- they have incredible stage presence," Rubin wrote on his label's newly revamped Web site. "And we're helping [make an] album that conveys as much as they have onstage on record, which I don't think has been done before."
Fronted by one-time Refused singer Dennis Lyxzen, the Swedish five-piece had previously been signed to Burning Heart/Epitaph in North America. The band's last record under that agreement was an EP, "Bigger Cages, Longer Chains," which included a cover of N*E*R*D's "Baby Doll."
(International) Noise Conspiracy has a nine-date U.K. tour lined up next month, beginning Dec. 5 in Portsmouth and wrapping Dec. 13 in Oxford. The group recently released "Live at the Oslo Jazz Festival" via the Moserobie label, chronicling an Aug. 6, 2002, show with saxophonist Jonas Kulhammar and keyboardist Eric Dahlberg.
