Adele performs on stage during RTL's end-of-year review '2015! Menschen, Bilder, Emotionen' in Huerth, Germany on Dec. 6, 2015.

This year's BBC Music Awards proved that the British love their indie music. That's not to say the nominees and winners weren't big names -- there is no bigger name than Adele -- it's just that in addition to some of our favorite pop acts, there was a variance of indie and rock artists to add to your band-shirt collection.
