Bruce Springsteen to Play 'The River' Album in its Entirety

Bruce Springsteen didn't name it The River Tour for nothing! The Boss will perform the album from start to finish when he kicks off his tour Jan. 16 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa., according to his website.

"All announced The River Tour 2016 shows will include an in-sequence, complete performance of The River album in addition to other Springsteen favorites. Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 11, See you on the road," reads a statement.

Bruce Springsteen to Tour in Early 2016 With E Street Band to Support 'The River' Reissue 

The only time Springsteen performed the entire album was Nov. 8, 2009 in Madison Square Garden.

The tour is in support of the release of the box set, The Ties That Bind: The River Collection. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will appear on Saturday Night Live Dec. 19.
