Mariah Carey Reportedly Scores Role in 'The Lego Batman Movie'

Mariah Carey may be the Commander-in-Chief of the Lambily, but she’s reportedly taking on another boss role.

According to Deadline's earlier report, Mimi was in talks to play Commissioner Gordon in The Lego Batman Movie. Sources tell THR, however, that Carey will voice the mayor of Gotham in the latest installment from the building block franchise. A who’s who of Hollywood's finest have already been tapped including Ralph Fiennes as Alfred the Butler, Will Arnett as Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker.

Carey already holds a stacked IMDB track record with contributions to films like Lee Daniels’ The Butler, Precious and GlitterBillboard has reached out to her rep for comment.

While there's no word if the role will involve her singing pipes, the high note-slayer's next film project is behind the camera, directing the upcoming Hallmark film A Christmas Melody.
