-- The Software and Information Industry Association named Chris Mohr, a partner at Meyer, Kipper & Mohr, as vp for Intellectual Property and General Counsel.

-- Sony Music Entertainment president India & Middle East Shridhar Subramaniam was unanimously elected as the chairman of Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL).

-- Napalm Records appointed Thomas Caser, head of A&R, as their new CEO.

-- Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. appointed Michael Friisdahl as president and CEO.

-- Sha Money XL (real name Michael Clervoix) left his post as executive vp urban A&R at Epic Records to focus on his Teamwork Music production company.

-- Former Three Six Zero COO James Sealey joined former AOL executives Erika Nardini and Ran Harnevo to launch the artist-to-fan app Bkstg.

-- SONGS Music Publishing appointed David Gold to the newly created position of head of business & legal affairs in its New York headquarters.

-- Jeff Sottolano was upped to vp of programming at CBS Radio, rising from his role as Director of Programming.

-- New Amsterdam Presents named Emily Bookwalter as its new executive director. 

-- AEG Live acquired exclusive booking agreements with Philadelphia’s legendary Electric Factory and indie-scene venue Underground Arts.

-- The U.K.’s Music Publishers Association appointed Jane Dyball as CEO of the MPA Group of Companies. Dyball has been acting CEO since May, following the departure of Sarah Osborn.

-- Universal Music Publishing Group appointed Luke McGrellis to vp creative. 

-- BBR Music Group elevated Jennifer Shaffer to national director of promotion for Wheelhouse Records, the label group’s newest imprint.

-- Berklee College of Music named J. Curtis Warner Jr. to lead its new Office of Community and Governmental Affairs as associate vice president. While Warner is moving from his role in education outreach as executive director of Berklee City Music, he will continue to serve on the organization’s advisory group.

-- The Music Business Association named John Esposito of Warner Music Nashville this year’s recipient of the Presidential Award for Outstanding Executive Achievement. The presentation will take place on May 17 during the Music Biz 2016 convention’s Awards Breakfast at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel in Nashville.

-- Inertia Music appointed Gabrielle Ryan, former national publicist at Caroline Australia, as marketing manager. 

-- Columbia Records UK announced the arrival of two key members of their press and publicity team: Taponeswa Mavunga as head of publicity and Frazer Lawton as senior press officer.

-- Big Deal Music elevated Casey Robison to partner/senior vp, heading the company’s pop department.

-- Condé Nast named Jennifer Salant vp, business development.
