Twenty One Pilots Help Instagram Unveil Boomerang App: Watch Their 1-Second Videos

Instagram unveiled its new Boomerang app on Thursday (Oct. 22), with Twenty One Pilots getting in on the action early posting a series of GIF-like videos.

Twenty One Pilots on Their Hit Album 'Blurryface': 'You Can't Underestimate the Power of a Core Fan Base'

The new standalone iOS and Android app creates 1-second videos from a burst of photos, which play forward and backward -- hence the name Boomerang. Users are able to shoot in portrait or landscape and share on Instagram.
