Given that her parents are superproducer Quincy Jones and model/actress Peggy Lipton, it should be no surprise that Rashida Jones is a more than capable singer. With her dad producing Michael Jackson’s biggest albums and her mom’s own stint with singing, this scenario was really just waiting to happen.

Jones has certainly hinted at her singing voice in her acting career in movies like Monogamy or on the hit TV sitcom Parks and Recreation, even performing a few joke-singing bits for the holidays on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. More recently, she also sang on a folksy track with Daniel Ahern.

While we’re most likely going to have to put a halt on our aspirations for her having a singing career anytime soon, she is featured on new track “Flip and Rewind” from Boss Selection, the producing moniker of Sunny Levine. What makes this different from any previous listening experiences of Jones’ voice is clearly the soft R&B context she is placed in the track. "Flip and Rewind" is the first single from Levine's forthcoming debut titled Volume One due out Dec. 8, 2015.
