Erykah Badu to Host 2015 Soul Train Awards
The Soul Train Awards will celebrate their 29th airing next month with none other than R&B singer and performer Erykah Badu hosting the program.
In the past, the awards have been hosted by some big personalities, including Wendy Williams, LeToya Luckett (of the original Destiny’s Child), Omarion, Tyrese and Dionne Warwick, among others. This isn’t the first time Ms. Badu has gotten herself onto the Soul Train stage: In 1998, she co-hosted with Patti LaBelle and Heavy D, and she won favorite female soul/R&B album for Baduizm.
The Soul Train Awards will be honoring Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds with the Legend Award and Jill Scott with the Lady of Soul Award. Scott recently received her second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Woman.
Bruno Mars, The Weeknd and Mark Ronson have the most nominations, with five each. Check out the complete list of Soul Train nominees here. The ceremony will air Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. ET on BET and Centric.
