"Hearing that Barbra had agreed to accept the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award was both humbling and exhilarating. Barbra's remarkable professional achievements and philanthropic generosity have greatly inspired me and hundreds of millions of people worldwide," former CEO of Paramount Pictures and first female Hollywood studio head Sherry Lansing said in a statement. "The Hollywood Reporter could not have chosen a more deserving individual to recognize than Barbra."

Over the past half century, Streisand has won two Academy Awards, 10 Grammy Awards including Grammy's Lifetime Achievement and Legend Awards and five Emmy Awards. She is the only artist ever to receive Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Grammy, Directors Guild of America, Golden Globe, National Medal of Arts and Peabody awards.
