What do sweater-clad angst and America's future president have in common? The answer used to be nothing, until an Ohio State University student saw fit to mash up Weezer and Kanye West into the beautiful Yeezer mixtape.

Alex Hodowanec, the 19-year-old who played God with this rock/rap mash-up, told Radio.com, "The first song I started working on was the first song on the album -- which is Kanye’s song ‘Through the Wire’ mixed with ‘Beverly Hills.’ I just kinda figured ‘Beverly Hills' was the most iconic Weezer song."

By the fifth track, "American Island," even Estelle gets drawn in to the project, as "Island in the Sun" and "American Boy" are blended to a catchy-but-mellow sound.

Hodowanec has insisted that the 10-track album stay a free download. After all, he's just a "disciple."
