Taylor Swift Returns to Country Roots With Assist From Keith Urban: Watch

Taylor Swift returned to her country roots during the first of two sold-out nights at Toronto’s Rogers Centre with the help of a special guest: American Idol judge Keith Urban.

“Someone absolutely incredible is about to come out on the stage,” Swift teased. “This is someone who has sold 20 million records. This is someone who is -- more importantly -- an amazing human being. I actually have opened up for his tour years ago. He has been so wonderful to me.”

Urban strapped on a guitar and joined Swift Friday night (Oct. 2) for a performance of his current single, “John Cougar, John Deere and John 3:16" and "Somebody Like You," which was  performed against a backsplash of sparklers. Watch Below.

This isn’t the first time the two shared stage time together. Swift famously punked Urban at a show in Kansas City, Mo., dressed up like Ace Frehley to duet on his romantic song “Kiss A Girl” in 2009.

Swift concludes her stay in Canada Saturday evening before returning to the U.S. at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, on Oct. 8. Swift shared a picture of the pair in dress rehearsal on Twitter.
