Former Pro-Bowler Tony Richardson may no longer be suiting up for the gridiron, but that doesn't mean his pregame playlist game has declined.

Work Out Like an NFL Player: Falcons & Seahawks Team DJs Share Their Best Pump-Up Songs

Richardson, who cemented his legacy as one of the NFL's best fullbacks during stints with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Jets, was on hand at last week's NFL Style Showdown (Sept. 24) to share his best game day fashion tips -- and talk a little about how his music taste has evolved.

Who do you think has the best pump-up jams of all time?

On game day, I'd always have something with Biggie in it. I'd definitely listen to Tupac, Jay Z -- I don't know if they're the top [of all time], but those are some of my favorite artists.

Now, you know, Drake's really hot. He wasn't really that hot when I was playing because, well, that was a little while ago, but he's hot right now. If I were playing now, getting pumped up, I'd definitely listen to some Drake as well.

Among the people you've played with, who do you think was the best rapper?

Ah, I don't know -- we kind of try to keep our skills on the turf. Nah, Sanchez -- he had no rhythm. Mark Sanchez definitely wasn't a rapper. Bart Scott thought he could rap.

Who are you listening to these days?

Drake's always on the playlist. Jay Z hasn't put anything out in a while, but you know, Jay Z's always a go-to as well.

Since you live in New York, do you go out to shows often?

Yeah, when I can -- actually, I wanted to hit the Madonna show. I guess it was last week? I didn't get a chance to make it. She's one of my favorites as well -- she never ages.

You played on a few different teams while you were in the NFL -- in which city did you think people had the best music taste?

New York, of course. It was so cool when the Jay Z/Rihanna song came out -- "Run This Town" -- we were playing, so every time we got to the stadium, that song was always pumping.

What do you listen to when you work out?

You know, it's weird -- sometimes I listen to classical music. I like classical music, like Bach.

When I ran the half-marathon, I had a really cool playlist. My friend put it together on Spotify, it was really hot -- the first song was "Drunk In Love," but towards the end it was like, "The Next Episode," "N---- In Paris" -- that's what got me over the hump.
