Father John Misty may not be too fond of Ryan Adams' viral-ready 1989 cover album, but it seems Trevor Noah is a fan of the alt rocker's take on Taylor Swift.

Adams will be the first musical guest on The Daily Show With Trevor Noah, which debuts Sept. 28. While Adams isn't confirmed to play any Swift songs, given the timing, it seems unlikely Adams will pop up to promote his year-old self-titled album.

Ry Guy won't play until Oct. 1, at which point the show will be on the final episode of what Noah told Rolling Stone will be "a four-part miniseries" that will set the tone for the new Daily Show.

And the new Daily Show will be different -- several of the (now Emmy Award-winning) writers jumped ship when Jon Stewart called it a day, so the tone of the show is likely to have changed to match the new host.
