Patti LaBelle doesn’t tolerance rudeness on her stage. An audience member at the singer’s Saturday night (Sept. 19) concert in Vancouver witnessed firsthand what misbehaving in her presence will lead to: a lot of scolding.

LaBelle invited some fans on stage to dance along to “Lady Marmalade,” but she lost her cool when one fan went too far and began unbuttoning his shirt. “Don’t you dare, not on my stage!” LaBelle demanded. “I am not Nicki Minaj or that little, uh, Miley.”

The situation escalated when the audience member arched his back and showed her his backside. “Get off of my goddarn stage, bitch,” the singer yelled as security removed the man from the stage. “And stay off. Put him out of the building. Put him out! How dare you!”

LaBelle continued her onstage tirade, saying she should’ve let security handle the problem and apologized to concert-goers for cursing. “I’m so sorry you heard me say a bad word. I’m so sorry,” she said “I’m a Gemini and things come out of my mouth sometimes that I try to control.”

But this isn’t the first time LaBelle has lashed out on stage, as Gawker points out. During a 2007 show in Kansas City, she displayed an almost identical reaction to another audience member who was dancing a little too close.
