Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will appear on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Sept. 22, CBS announced Thursday (Sept. 10).

Colbert's First 'Late Show' Offers 'Weird, Creative Zing': Review

The news comes after Colbert skewered Trump on his first night on CBS, poking fun at Trump's stance against Nabisco and subsequently stuffing his face with one of the brand's most popular products, Oreos. (Trump has said he refuses to eat the cookie because of Nabisco's plan to move an Oreo factory to Mexico.)

Fellow Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, Senator Elizabeth Warren and Nobel Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai are also slated to sit down with Colbert in his third week. The new Late Show host continues to show diversity in his lineup, mixing in politicians and CEOs along with the traditional group of A-list actors and musicians -- which will include Pearl Jam next week.
