She’s always been a rebel, and in her just released video, “Forbidden Nights,” Darlene Love is taking a drive and hanging out with the coolest gang in Asbury Park, NJ, including Bruce Springsteen, Patti Scialfa, Joan Jett, Bill Murray, Elvis Costello and Steven Van Zandt.
The song -- written Costello -- is included on the R&B legends forthcoming record, Introducing Darlene Love. The song has a classic '60s melody with a sha-la-la chorus reminiscent of the pop classics Love is known for.
The album, produced Van Zandt, will be released on the E Street Band guitarist’s label, Wicked Cool, on Sept. 18, with distribution through Columbia.
