Steve Martin & Edie Brickell Announce Second Album 'So Familiar'

Grammy-winning bluegrass duo Steve Martin & Edie Brickell announced their second album, So Familiar, is coming this fall. Martin plays the banjo while Brickell sings.

The pair's first studio album, Love Has Come For You, released in 2013, sold 104,000 in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music, and spent 18 weeks at No. 1 on the Bluegrass Albums chart. It also hit No. 21 on the Billboard 200 -- Martin's highest charting album since A Wild and Crazy Guy hit No. 2 in 1978. The album's title track won Brickell and Martin the 2013 Grammy Award for best American roots song. Brickell -- who is married to Paul Simon -- hit No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with the 1988 album Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars

Steve Martin to Be Honored at International Bluegrass Music Awards

The pair followed Love Has Come For You with a concert album, simply titled Live, alongside The Steep Canyon Rangers. It spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Bluegrass Albums chart. 

So Familiar was produced by Peter Asher, and features contributions from Mike Einziger of Incubus and Béla Fleck. It comes out Oct. 30 on Rounder Records. Listen to the first single below.
