Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings are gearing up for an extra-festive fourth quarter.

The retro-soul collective has announced the release of its first-ever holiday album It’s a Holiday Soul Party, due Oct. 30 through Daptone Records. The 11-song record features original and traditional songs (“Silent Night,” “White Christmas”), and fans who pre-order the LP will automatically receive free downloads of new cut “Big Bulbs” and “Ain’t No Chimneys in the Projects.”

"It's so great to put out a holiday record after almost twenty years, and it is thrilling to share a Hanukkah soul song," Jones, 59, tells Billboard. "I was able to portray my gospel upbringing on the piano, and the Dap-Kings added their soulful flavor to old classics and a few original songs."

Additionally, the group is making a move to the big screen with plans for their documentary Miss Sharon Jones! to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, Sept. 11. The film, directed by Oscar-winner Barbara Kopple (Harlan County, USA, American Dream), focuses on frontwoman Jones’ struggle with bile duct cancer in 2013. Shortly after she underwent surgery, the prognosis was changed to pancreatic cancer, which she battled and overcame, returning to the stage in early 2014 and, with the Dap-Kings, they released their fifth album Give the People What They Want.

Since their inception, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings have pushed soul music to the forefront of mainstream consciousness, spearheading the sound’s revival. Though they released several albums in the early aughts, it wasn’t until the group put out its third album, 2007’s 100 Days, 100 Nights that they established traction, in part thanks to the Dap-Kings backing Amy Winehouse on tracks from her breakthrough 2006 album, Back to Black.

In 2010, the collective followed with I Learned the Hard Way and most recently released Give the People in January 2014, earning a Grammy nomination for R&B album of the year.
