Dead & Company Adds Second Madison Square Garden Show

Did you really think rock's longest, strangest trip would ever end? Despite the Grateful Dead's Fare Thee Well performances wrapping in early July, they recently announced a new iteration -- Dead & Company -- will hit Madison Square Garden this Halloween.

And today (Aug. 10), due to strong demand, Dead & Company are adding a second MSG show on Nov. 1. The pre-sale, available to American Express card members, has already started.

Dead & Company is three of the Core 4 -- Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir -- along with longtime fan and collaborator John Mayer.

Grateful Dead Is Resurrected Once More, This Time With John Mayer

"Fare Thee Well proved to me that I'm not done exploring new rhythmic territory with Mickey -- I’m recommending that everyone puts their helmet on, because we are going to blast our way into some serious drums and space," said Bill Kreutzmann in a statement. “And with Mayer riding shotgun with Weir -- we’re in good company, so to speak.”

“I deeply love the Dead’s music, and it has inspired me in ways I never imagined," Mayer said. "To help carry this music is the opportunity and the honor of a lifetime."

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m. ET, here
