Music Stars Mourn Death of Cilla Black on Social Media
Beloved British singer Cilla Black, whose hits included 1964's "You're My World" and the theme song from the film Alfie, died on Aug. 2 at age 72.
Black was found dead at her home in Estepona, southern Spain, the Associated Press reports. The cause of death was unknown at press time.
As a teenager, Black worked in the cloakroom of Liverpool, England's famous Cavern Club, where she was discovered by The Beatles. In the 1960s she became the host of BBC variety show Cilla.
